Brief Description: Wing repainting & engine air filter preparation
My brother Bernie and I started the day by sanding various locations on the left wing that had some runs and orange peel from the spray painting yesterday. Once sanded we spary painted another three coats. Although improved from its previous condition the paint still is not satisfactory but I'll move on to the next wing anyway and try to buff the left wing later. Once the paint was left to cure we returned to working on the engine induction air filter and alternate air selector valve housing. We diecides where we needed nut plates and installed them, where the position of the housing needs to be inside the cowling, how it might be supported and began fabricating brackets and support angles and finally we bonded the alternate air selector valve deck to the engine induction air filter housing.
